Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday called on Egypt to stop building a steel wall along the Gaza border that could obstruct smuggling tunnels which provide a lifeline for the blockaded enclave.
The smuggling tunnels provide not only munitions but food, cars, motorcycles, drugs, medicine and fuel, much more than what Israel allows into the Strip through the official border crossing.
Nasrallah told a crowd of tens of thousands of Lebanese Shi'ite Muslim marking the Ashura religious ceremony that Egypt should be condemned if it does not stop building the wall.

Tensions between Egypt, a predominantly Sunni country, and Hezbollah, a Shi'ite group backed by Iran, have been running high since last year when Nasrallah accused Cairo of complicity with Israel in its siege of the Gaza strip.
"In addition to the siege there has been news about (building) a steel wall..to terminate the thin veins which are giving some life and some hope to Gaza," he said.
"We call on the government in Egypt and the leadership to stop the wall and flooding the tunnels and to end the siege otherwise it should be condemned by all Arabs and the Muslims," he said.
Egypt is trying 26 men suspected of links with Hezbollah and accused of planning attacks inside the country. Hezbollah denies they had plans for attacks inside Egypt and says one of the men is a Hezbollah member and that he and up to 10 others were trying to supply military equipment to Hamas-run Gaza.
Egyptian officials have said steel tubes were being placed at several points along the 8-mile-long border, but they did not specify their purpose.
Palestinians fear a steel barrier, deep underground, would limit or end smuggling through hundreds of tunnels operating in defiance of a three-year-old Israeli-led blockade.
Tunnel-builders said some 3,000 tunnels were operational before Israel launched a three-week offensive in the Gaza Strip a year ago, but only 150 were still functional following the conflict and subsequent Israeli air raids.
"This unjust silence over besieging a whole people should not continue regardless of the excuses," Nasrallah said.
Shortly before Nasrallah's speech tens of thousands of Shi'ite Muslim Lebanese, chanting "Death to America, death to Israel," marched in Hezbollah's Beirut stronghold to commemorate the annual Ashura ritual.
A sea of men, women and children marched in the streets of Beirut's southern suburbs carrying Hezbollah's yellow and black flags and some carried religious slogans. They beat their chests in a sign of grief over the killing of the Prophet Mohammad's grandson, Imam Hussein and chanted "O Hussein" and "We will never be humiliated."
Ashura commemorates Hussein, who was killed along with most of his family by Islamic ruler Yazid, who Shi'ites remember as an oppressor and murderer. Hussein's death at Kerbala in Iraq in AD 680 is a defining moment in the history of Shi'ite Islam

"Really? You Don't Look Gay"
Cashier: Are you excited for the weekend?
Me: Totally! I am so glad it's Friday.
Cashier: What are you going to do?
Me: I really don't know yet, but I think I'm just going to play it by ear.
Cashier: Do you have kids?
Me: No, I don't have any.
Cashier: Are you married?
Me: No, I'm not married (Note: At this point, I wanted to just blurt out that I was gay simply for the fact that from the look on her face, I got paranoid that she was concluding that I was a straight woman who couldn’t “get a guy to commit.” Even the thought of it was painful to me.)
Cashier: Do you have a boyfriend?
Me: No, I don't have a boyfriend. (Laughing) God, you must think I'm a loser, right? But see, I'm gay. And I have a girlfriend!
Cashier: Oh my God, you're gay? You don't look like a lesbian, you're so… pretty! And funny!
Me: That’s so funny! Thanks!
As I left the store, not only was I smiling because she thought I was "pretty and funny,” but I was also experiencing an odd sense of pride that she didn't think that I "looked like a lesbian."
But my bolstered confidence quickly dropped after telling a gay co-worker the story back at the office, when he responded that he was offended for me. He went on to say that if anyone ever told him that he didn’t "look gay," he would confront that person on “what do you think gay looks like?”
He definitely had a point, and it really got me thinking. Did the pride that I took in the cashier's compliment betray a subconscious shame that I felt in "looking like a lesbian?" Was I so conditioned by popular culture to believe that lesbians were all mannish and humorless?
Or was it something else, along the lines of internalized homophobia? Could it be that I took a certain level of pride in being grouped with straight women who are not only glamorized in the media as idealized beauties, but also are what many of us are conditioned to see as plain old socially acceptable? Did I want to be in with the in crowd?
In theory I am proud to call myself a lesbian, I like being attracted to women, and have tons of lesbian friends. But maybe in practice, just as gay men continue to put each other down for not conforming to masculine ideals, many of us, no matter how "butch" we are, continue to prize a more feminine, lipstick lesbian ideal of womanhood?
I don't know. Tell me what you think. Have you ever experienced a similar pride in passing or "fitting in" in the straight world? If so, why do you think that is?

1. Amnesty Financial’s website claims consumers can receive a $1500 loan within 24 hours. The Central Indiana Better Business Bureau has received complaints from consumers across the country alleging that after they submitted personal information, they received an unauthorized debit to their bank account in the amount of $33.98. Consumers say they were simply trying to obtain information on a pay day loan, and upon contacting the company to dispute the charges, are informed that they have enrolled in an identity theft protection program. Consumers allege there was no notice their accounts would be automatically debited or that they were enrolling in a separate program. Consumers allege difficulty obtaining a refund after following the company’s instructions to obtain a refund. After receiving returned mail in an attempt to contact the company, the BBB has verified the company is NOT at the address listed in Indianapolis. The BBB has also discovered this company has posted the Better Business Bureau logo on their website. This company is NOT a BBB accredited business. Using the BBB logo, or any references thereto, without the explicit permission of the BBB is in violation of a federally-registered trademark and also constitutes deceptive advertising. Use of the BBB logo without being a BBB-accredited business is a direct intent to mislead the public.
2. Ace Employment Services, Mystery Shopping, and Paid Surveys of Dayton, OH sent an Indianapolis consumer a check for $2700. The consumer contacted the company to see what it was for. The company representative told her she was selected to do some mystery shopping for their company, and she would get paid. She was instructed to deposit the check into her own personal account, then visit a Western Union and wire $2100 to an individual in Canada. When the consumer asked the purpose of doing this, the company told her it was to evaluate the efficiency of Western Union’s service. Problem? These checks are typically fraudulent checks that are written on stolen bank account information. The person who cashes the check winds up paying back every penny and then some in most cases. This scheme continues to be the #1 call the BBB receives. If you, or someone you know, receive a check offering a work-at-home business opportunity, a prize with a check to pay for processing fees, up front taxes, etc., immediately contact the United States Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455.
3. Telecommunication Relay Services (TRS) are used to assist individuals with hearing or speech impairments for communicating over the telephone. Under Title IV of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), all telephone companies must provide free relay service. At first, these relay services were typically through standard phone services, but with the advent of the personal computer and the internet, these services have broadened the ability to its users… and opened the door for fraud. Businesses may receive a relay call where both the relay operator and the business have no idea that the “caller” is really a scam artist. Recent reports indicate the scheme is heavily targeting the auto repair industry. For example, a business receives a relay call. The “caller” claims he is going to have a vehicle shipped to the business for repair and wants to charge the shipping fee to a credit card. Unbeknownst to the business, the credit card number is stolen. The charges typically go through without complications. The business is then directed to wire the money to the customer to help cover shipping costs. It is not until the shipper’s money is wired that the business is notified of the fraudulent credit card, leaving the business to bear the loss. If your business has been a victim of this activity, you can file complaints with both the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov or the FBI’s Internet Crime Unit (IC3) at www.ics.gov.
4. Ever wonder what to do with all of those pesky spam/junk e-mails you get such as “You are the winner of this, that and the other”… or “I am an attorney for your late great, great uncle who has recently passed away and left you millions?”
Forward them! Not to your friends and family, but to the Federal Trade Commission. Unsolicited and scam spam can be forwarded to Spam@uce.gov.
5. Are you on the Do Not Call Registry? If you want to eliminate the risk of being contacted by someone who wants to sell you something you don’t want, potentially having your identity stolen or your bank and credit card accounts drained, or to simply eat your dinner without the interruption of all of those unsolicited calls, register your telephone number on the Indiana Telephone Privacy Registry at www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/consumer/telephone/ or call (317) 232-6201 or toll free in Indiana 1-800-382-5516. You may also register on the National Do Not Call Registry at www.ftc.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222.
Most telemarketers are forbidden from calling numbers on the Do Not Call list; however, there are exemptions such as licensed insurance agents, licensed real estate agents, charitable organizations and newspapers.

Affiliate Marketing Guide - Should You Only Promote Affiliate Products Which Offer Higher Commission
Is it true that you should only promote affiliate products which offer high commission? This is the one of the most common questions that newbies will ask when they are just starting out their affiliate business.
It is totally not true when you assume that promoting affiliate product that offers higher commission is better. There are many other factors that you will have to consider when you are choosing the appropriate product to promote.
For instant, if you do not understand the problems that your market is facing and you just promote a product to them, you will not get many sales. The high commission that is being offered will not be useful to you as you will only get the commission when your customer purchases the product.
The more practical thing you will need to do instead is to review the product and make sure that the product will solve the market's problem. As long as the product is reasonably priced and it offers at least 50% in commission, you can choose to promote it. You will definitely get more profits when you have more numbers of customer purchases the product.
You will want to make sure that you collect your subscriber's details, build a relationship with them and let them warm up to your promotion by offering a product that is priced at a affordable price. If your customers do not even purchase a low price product, do you think that they will purchase a high priced product?
You will want to make sure that you have several products in your marketing funnel which will be priced at several prices. Do kick start with promoting low price product and then you will slowly promote products that are priced higher. Have a good combination and you will be earning profits when your subscribers join your list.

Israeli police killed in West Bank
Two Israeli police officers have been shot dead in the occupied West Bank, Israeli police and emergency services say.
Police officials said that the circumstances of the deaths on Sunday were still being investigated, but it was suspected that Palestinian fighters had opened fire on the officers' vehicle.
"The two had been killed by gunshots and the main suspicion points to a nationalistic motive," Micky Rosenfeld, Israeli police spokesman, said.
A previously unknown group calling itself the "Martyr Imad Moghniyah group" - apparently after a Hezbollah military commander assassinated in Damascus on February 12, 2008 - told Al Jazeera that it had carried out the shooting.
Lebanon-based Hezbollah blamed Israel for the car bombing, but it denied any involvement in the attack.
Sunday's attack took place near the settlement of Masua in the northern part of the Jordan Valley.
Vehicle overturned
Israel's rescue services said that the police vehicle was found upside down on Highway 90 with one officer inside already dead. Efforts to revive the other officer failed.
Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna, reporting from Jerusalem, said that the shooting would mark an escalation in violence in an area that has been relatively quiet for a long period of time.
"There has not been a shooting attack in this particular area by Palestinians since January this year, an incident which has still not been fully resolved," he said.
About 7,000 Jewish settlers live in settlements in the Jordan Valley, which Ehud Olmert, the outgoing Israeli prime minister, has said should remain under Israeli control.
On March 2, the Peace Now group said Israel's housing ministry had plans that would nearly double the number of settlers in the area.
Riots over N Ireland murder arrests
Rioters have clashed with police in the town of Lurgan in Northern Ireland.
The violence on Saturday followed the arrests of three men on suspicion of killing two British soldiers last week at an army barracks in Antrim, outside Belfast, Northern Ireland's main city.
Police said none of their officers were injured during the violence.
The men arrested - aged 21, 32 and 41 - were seized in two separate raids on Saturday, police in Belfast said.
The Real IRA (Irish Republican Army), a dissident republican group aiming to end British rule in the province, said it carried out the shooting at the barracks.
Cengiz Azimkar and Mark Quinsey of the Royal Engineers were shot dead as they collected a pizza delivery outside the Massereene base.
Two other soldiers and two delivery staff were injured.
Third killing
The attack on the base was followed by the killing of a police officer, which was claimed by the Continuity IRA, another group that split from the IRA after a ceasefire was agreed with the British government in 1997.
Police are questioning three other men over that killing.
Thousands of people attended the funeral of Constable Stephen Carroll on Friday.
Politicians from both the republican and unionist - supporters of British rule - camps have condemned the attacks and vowed to continue to work together in the province's government.
The two sides agreed to share power in 2007 with Sinn Fein, a republican group with strong links to the IRA, joining the Democratic Unionists in government.
S. American leaders join anti-Davos social forum
South America's leading advocates of socialism got a hero's welcome from 100,000 activists at the mouth of the Amazon River Thursday as they demanded an overhaul of global capitalism.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said the time has come for the world's leftists to "leave the trenches," propose solutions and "launch a political ideological offensive everywhere."
Advocates for landless Brazilians in a sweltering gymnasium and roared in approval as Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa belted out the Cuban classic "Comandante Che Guevara," accompanied by a lone guitarist. Bolivia's Evo Morales and Paraguay's Fernando Lugo joined them on stage at the World Social Forum. But the loudest cheers were for Chavez.
"Chavez is fighting for people like me and his presence validates our movement," said 34-year-old Brazilian activist and singer Nicinha Durans, whose bright red shirt read "Hip Hop Militant."
Morales, Bolivia's first Indian president, also saluted the crowd at the annual protest against the World Economic Forum, where the rich and powerful gather at the Swiss ski resort of Davos each year.
"Before you are four presidents - four presidents who could not be here were it not for your fight," he said. "I see so many brothers and sisters here, from Latin America's social movements to European figures."
Later, more than 10,000 of the 100,000 activists in Belem for the forum packed a convention center, waving red flags and danced atop chairs to Brazilian music when the leaders plus Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva showed up to address the crowd.
"Latin America is changing and the hope is the north will change as well," declared Lugo, a former Roman Cathlic priest and follower of liberation theology. "We have seen the economic policies they said were so efficient fail."
A Brazilian Indian who identified himself only as Vander said he traveled for a full day by riverboat to reach the event so he could "be here to represent my people and their struggle."
Silva - a former union leader who has steered Brazil on a centrist course as president - decided to make his first social forum appearance in three years instead of going to Switzerland.
Some activists said they weren't angry at him for shunning the gathering in previous years, and predicted a warm welcome.
But Durans said others will protest against Silva because his administration has embraced many of the free-market economic policies he denounced before being elected president in 2003.
"He has let us down, and he won't be welcome here," Durans said.

Tito's son leaves Indonesia with unforgettable memories
After a wonderful stay in Jakarta of more than four years, Croatian Ambassador to Indonesia Aleksandar Broz and his wife Mira Broz left the country last week with unforgettable memories.
"We had a wonderful stay in Jakarta. We will never forget our friends, both Indonesians and expatriates, and experiences in Indonesia," Ambassador Broz told The Jakarta Post in an interview last week at his office in Jakarta.
In 2004, Croatian President Stjepan Mesic appointed Broz as Croatia's ambassador to Indonesia, with the special intention of reviving ties between Croatia, a former republic in the Yugoslav Federation, and Indonesia.
Broz is none other than the son of Yugoslavia's late second president, Josip Broz Tito. The Indonesian president at the time of Broz's appointment was Megawati Soekarnoputri, daughter of former Indonesian president Sukarno. Both Tito and Sukarno were founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
While commenting on the state of bilateral relations during the last four years, Broz said they were in good shape.
"Our relations with Indonesia are very good. But we should have done more to enhance economic relations, despite obstacles like the geographical distance between the two countries," Broz said.
Though small in value, bilateral trade during Broz's period has grown considerably.
In 2007, the two-way trade value surged to US$29.45 million, a huge jump from a mere $8.85 million in 2003. Last year, growth also continued to increase.
In the first 10 months of 2008, bilateral trade jumped to $33.78 million, a 48.29 percent increase from $22.78 million during the same period in 2007.
"We import a lot of coal from Indonesia to run one of our coal-fired power plants. But our exports to Indonesia, mainly animal husbandry vaccines, machinery and chemical products, are in small quantities," Broz said.
Croatia, the ambassador went on, was a small country with a population of 4.5 million people, far removed from Indonesia. These were the main hurdles in improving trade ties, he said.
"But both countries have still a lot of opportunities. For instance, we can cooperate in the shipbuilding and tourism sectors," Broz said.
Although he did not travel much in Indonesia, Broz enjoyed his stay here.
"For me, Indonesia and Jakarta are not new. Before my arrival here, I used to come to Jakarta frequently in my capacity as Croatia's INA Oil company representative in the 1980s and 1990s," he said.
After obtaining a law degree from Zagreb University in 1969, Broz began his career in the Prvomajska Co.'s export department. He later joined the INA Oil company.
In 1993, Broz joined the foreign service and was appointed minister counselor at the Croatian Embassy in Moscow. From Moscow, he moved to Cairo in his capacity as plenipotentiary minister.
It seems Broz was on the fast track in his diplomatic career. With just 11 years of diplomatic experience, Broz was appointed as ambassador in 2004.
"It was my first posting as an ambassador in Jakarta," said Broz, who speaks more than six foreign languages.
During his nearly five-year stay in Indonesia, Broz revealed he and his wife had some good and bad experiences.
"First, we have seen two Indonesian presidents *Megawati and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono*. We are so lucky to witness the democratic transformation in the country. At the same time, we also witnessed all these natural disasters like tsunami, earthquakes and floods," he said.
There was also an incident last year that they will never forget their whole lives.
"Last year, there was a robbery at my home. Luckily, my wife and I were safe. We lost some money and valuables. But we didn't have any hard feelings about it, because this can happen anywhere in the world," said Broz, a computer expert.
When asked about the future of both countries' relations, Broz said they would grow further.
"Both countries can take their relations to a higher level. We will have our first ever joint commission meeting in Zagreb this year to lay the groundwork for our future ties," Broz said.

South Korea, EU near free trade deal
The Associated Press , Seoul | Mon, 03/16/2009 8:42 AM | World
South Korea and the European Union are on the verge of concluding a free trade agreement and are considering making a formal announcement at next month's meeting of Group of 20 leaders in London, news reports said Monday.
Yonhap news agency, citing officials it did not identify, said the two sides are near an agreement and will likely wrap it up at final talks next week in Seoul.
Trade between South Korea and the EU reached over $90 billion in 2008. The EU is South Korea's second-largest trading partner after China, while the EU is the largest foreign investor in South Korea.
The two sides have been negotiating since May 2007. Automobile trade, which strongly favors South Korea, has been a contentious issue.
South Korean trade officials in charge of the negotiations could not immediately be reached for comment.
Separately, South Korea's mass-circulation Dong-a Ilbo newspaper reported that the EU has proposed that the two sides announce the deal at the G-20 summit in London.
Yonhap said South Korea and the EU have agreed to eliminate or phase out tariffs on 96 percent of EU products and 99 percent of South Korean goods with three years.
The report also said they had agreed to eliminate all tariffs on cars within five years.
South Korea and the EU are both eager to conclude free trade agreements. South Korea reached one with the United States, its fourth-largest trading partner, in 2007, though legislative ratification of the deal has languished in political limbo in both countries.

The newest attraction in Aceh: Jungle trekking with Ex GAM as jungle trek tour guides...
Former Rebels Guide Tourists in Aceh

Bouchard report - Listen (MP3) audio clip
As Indonesia's Aceh province recovers from the devastating Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004, a new company there is hiring former guerrilla soldiers to use their skills for tourism. Chad Bouchard reports from Aceh, where he followed former combatants to their old hideouts in the jungle.

A group of former rebel soldiers takes a rest in a cave once used as a mountain base camp for the Free Aceh Movement (GAM)
The last time Yuni hacked his way through this jungle mountain trail, he was under fire and on the run from his own government.
Three years after the end of that bloody conflict, he finds himself pausing on the steep mountain slope, waiting for a handful of winded tourists to catch up.
Yuni was a foot soldier in a guerrilla independence movement called GAM. He describes a fierce battle to the curious group of foreigners.
Yuni says in this spot he was pinned down for hours, and it was the longest combat with the enemy he ever experienced. He says the fire fight started before dawn and lasted until the afternoon.
Yuni and his brother Don are part of the last generation to fight a brutal civil war spanning three decades, as Acehnese fought for independence from the rest of the country.
The mountaineering and survival skills that once helped them out-maneuver the Indonesian army now come in handy as they march tourists into the same jungle.

The customers are mostly foreign aid workers who live in the provincial capital of Banda Aceh. They pay for treks into the wilderness that was until recently off limits to travelers because of the conflict.
In December 2004, a massive tsunami scoured nearby shores, and changed everything.
A few months later, the rebels and the Indonesian government, both eager to focus on rebuilding from the disaster, signed a peace deal.
But thousands of ex-combatants were left with few skills to earn a peacetime living.
Reconstruction temporarily pumped millions of aid dollars into the local economy, but as the aid money dried up, jobs became even harder to find.
So Don is grateful for the opportunity he has now. He says it is very difficult to find a job in Aceh at the moment, and he is proud to work as a tour guide. He says the salary is good, and all he has to do is take tourists up a mountain.
Mendel Pols, a Dutch citizen, is the founder of Aceh Explorer Adventure Tours. He says it has been hard to get other investors involved, and in light of the bloody history of the conflict, there has been little response from international aid organizations.
"They just laughed. And they said that it was a crazy idea. Some NGO's, they consider former GAM as former killers," said Pols. "The fact that my, the majority of my, guides are former GAM rebels practically disqualifies me from receiving aid."
But Pols says business is steady in spite of the lack of outside support. The company has more than 20 guides and runs day trips into the jungle nearly every week.
"I'm aware of the fact that all of my GAM guides, they have done things during the conflict that we would absolutely reject," he said. "I'm sure they have killed people, they have shot soldiers. I'm sure that some of them may have intimidated locals, perhaps even stolen food or money. But yeah, you know, you have to start somewhere to start over again."
Out on the trail, the group reaches a small cave once used as a rebel lookout.
Cooking pots and water bottles are still stashed around the camp. Not far away, a single Indonesian army boot serves as a reminder of the violence.
One Norwegian on the tour, Helena Tideman, says she found it haunting to visit rebel hideouts.
"It's really hard to imagine what they've been through. Being with these guides telling us the stories and - you know it's kind of a mix of feeling," said Tideman. "Because it's, you know for me it's an adventure to see this but at the same time it's also, you know, a really brutal history so, yeah."
Yuni says it is not easy to revisit the battlegrounds where he lost friends, or the camps where the rebels endured harsh conditions away from their families.
He says sometimes he thinks about what he went through when they were hiding in the forest, like the hunger and the fear. The memories are sweet and bitter, he says, and it can be difficult to talk about those times with his wife.
Asked if he feels uncomfortable giving away his hiding spots to tourists, Yuni looks at his brother. With a nervous laugh, he explains that they are keeping plenty of hiding places deeper in the jungle, just in case they ever need them again.
